A Group Class for Adults 60+

A joyful, evidence-based singing class for older adults who want to maintain a healthy voice, connect through music, and keep singing for life.

Why Senior Voices?

Singing is a lifelong skill and research shows that singing regularly can improve breathing, mental sharpness, posture, and emotional well-being. This class is designed specifically for adults aged 60 and up who want to keep their voice strong, expressive, and joyful.

Through gentle warm-ups, fun repertoire, and a supportive group environment, you'll explore your voice in a whole new way.

Schedule: Wednesdays, August 6 – December 17, 2025
Time: 1-hour classes | 11 AM EST
Total Classes: 15 weekly sessions
Breaks: No class during Knox County Schools’ fall break and Thanksgiving week
Makeups: 3 built-in makeup weeks available
Recital: Optional performance in January 2026

About the Teacher

Blayne Ziegenfuss is a voice teacher and singer based in Knoxville, TN. With over a decade of private teaching experience, he specializes in classical, musical theatre, and contemporary vocal technique for singers of all ages.

Blayne holds advanced degrees in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy and is currently completing a 1600-hour Alexander Technique teacher certification. His teaching is grounded in both evidence-based voice science and compassionate, personalized mentorship. He believes that every singer — regardless of age or background — can learn to sing freely, confidently, and with joy.

Tuition & Registration

Fall 2025 Tuition: $675 per student
Includes 15 one-hour sessions + optional recital in January
Space is limited to 5 students per class

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous singing experience?
Not at all! This class is open to all levels — from total beginners to lifelong choir members.

What if I need to miss a week?
We’ve built in 3 make-up weeks during the semester to accommodate your schedule.

Will there be a performance?
Yes! You’ll have the option to perform in a relaxed, low-pressure recital in January. Participation is totally optional.
